Is TapEdu suitable for a small nursery or primary school?
Yes. TapEdu supports nursery-only, primary-only and combined nursery and primary schools. Start with the essentials — student records, daily registers, results and report cards, and the Family Portal — and switch on other modules, such as fees, the school store, library or transport, as you grow. Turning a module off never deletes its data.
Can a combined nursery, primary and secondary school run on one account?
Yes. A complete school is set up as one school with sections for Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary, each with its own classes, arms and subjects, sharing one academic session and term calendar. Parents with children in different sections follow all of them with one login and a child switcher.
How does TapEdu handle education groups with several schools or campuses?
TapEdu is organised as Organisation → School → Campus. One organisation can hold several schools, each school can have campuses, and every organisation’s data is kept separate. Staff who work in more than one school or campus switch between them without mixing records, and events and notifications can be aimed at a specific campus. If you run a group, talk to us before applying so we can plan your setup together.
Can each school in our group keep its own classes, subjects and fees?
Yes. Classes, arms, subjects and fee structures belong to a school, so each school in your organisation keeps its own academic structure and billing. Staff who work across schools switch between them from their own account.
Can teachers see results for classes they do not teach?
No. On top of the permissions set for their role, teachers are limited to the session, class arm and subject they are assigned to. Principals and administrators review and publish results, and class teachers can publish results for their own class.
Does TapEdu work for private, government and mission schools?
Yes. When you apply you choose your school type and ownership — private, government, mission or faith-based, or other. Every school goes through the same review by the TapEdu team before it is set up.
Do parents, students and teachers need to install anything?
No. TapEdu is a web app that works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Each person signs in to their own portal with the login your school creates or the invitation it sends.
