Results & report cards

Result computation, broadsheets and report cards without the Excel stress

Teachers enter scores once. TapEdu applies your assessment scheme and grade scale, routes every markbook through review, and turns published results into broadsheets and printable term reports.

Why it matters

Accurate results, every single term

Replace hand-totalled score sheets and fragile spreadsheets with one workflow your whole academic team can follow.

  • Your scheme, your scale

Set up assessment components such as CA and exam, each with its own maximum score and a weight (weights must total 100%), plus grade scales with ranges, grade points and remarks.

  • Markbooks teachers finish fast

Each subject teacher gets a markbook for their class arm, subject and term, and saves the whole class in one go.

  • Reviewed before anyone sees it

Results move from draft to submitted, reviewed and published. Reviewers can return a markbook for correction, and class teachers can publish their own class.

  • Broadsheets and positions

See every student against every subject for a class arm, with averages and optional class positions. Equal scores share a position, so ties are handled fairly.

  • Report cards ready to print

Each term report brings scores, grades, remarks, attendance and comments together in a print-ready layout that uses your browser's print function.

  • Every change on the record

Correcting a published result needs a reason and every correction is logged, so the numbers parents see can always be explained.

How it works

How results work in TapEdu

From the first test score to the report card in a parent's hands.

  1. Step 1: Set up your scheme

Define assessment components such as CA and exam, their maximum scores and weights, and the grade scale your school uses.

  2. Step 2: Teachers enter scores

Subject teachers fill in the markbook for each class arm and subject, then submit it for review.

  3. Step 3: Review and publish

Reviewers check each markbook, return any that need correcting and publish when results are final. Students and guardians get an in-app notification.

  4. Step 4: Print and share reports

Add class teacher, subject teacher and principal comments, then print each term report from the browser. Parents see it in the Family Portal.

Frequently asked questions

Still deciding? Book a walkthrough and see it working with your own school's setup in mind.

How do you compute student results in a Nigerian school?
Most schools combine continuous assessment (CA) scores with an exam score, then apply a grade scale. In TapEdu you define those components and their weights once (they must total 100%), and each student's weighted total, grade and remark are worked out from the scores teachers enter.
Can TapEdu calculate CA and exam totals with our own grading scale?
Yes. You create your own assessment scheme with the components you need, each with its own maximum score and weight, and your own grade scale with score ranges, grades, optional grade points and remarks.
Who checks results before parents see them?
Results follow a draft → submitted → reviewed → published workflow. Subject teachers submit their markbooks, reviewers can return a markbook for correction, and nothing is visible to parents or students until it is published. Class teachers can publish results for their own class.
Can we print report cards?
Yes. Every term report has a print-ready view that uses your browser's print function, so you can print report cards from any computer. Reports are printed straight from the browser rather than downloaded as PDF or Excel files.
When can parents view results online?
As soon as results are published. Parents and students only see results and the term report after publication, while authorised staff can preview them before then. A guardian also needs the reports access flag on their link to the child.
