Why it matters

The right message, to the right people

Replace scattered group chats and paper notes with one place everyone checks.

  • Targeted announcements

Send to staff, parents and/or students with a priority from low to urgent, and add an in-app notification as you publish.

  • A real notification centre

Target the whole school, a class arm, a role, one student's family or selected users, and schedule sends for later.

  • One school calendar

Plan events with categories and attachments, aim them at the right audience and send reminders at the times you choose.

  • News that publishes everywhere

Write news once with images and categories, schedule it, and it appears on your website and every portal dashboard.

  • Parent–teacher messages

Parents start a thread about a child and subject; teachers reply from their portal, with an in-app alert for each new message.

  • A daily communication book

Teachers write dated remarks about a student, and parents see them in a daily timeline alongside attendance and lessons.

How it works

How communication works in TapEdu

Every message stays inside your school's own platform.

  1. Step 1: Choose your audience

Pick who should hear it: the whole school, a campus, class or arm, a role, one student's family or selected people.

  2. Step 2: Write and set the priority

Compose an announcement, event or news post, set its priority, and publish now or schedule it for later.

  3. Step 3: Everyone sees it in the app

Recipients find it on their dashboard and in their notification inbox, with unread counts and personal preferences.

  4. Step 4: Keep the conversation going

Parents message subject teachers about their child, and teachers add remarks to the communication book.

How can schools communicate with parents digitally?
With TapEdu, schools publish announcements, events and news that appear on parents' dashboards, send targeted in-app notifications, and let parents message their child's subject teachers. Everything stays inside the school's own platform rather than on personal phone numbers.
Can we send announcements to one class or to the whole school?
Yes. Announcements can go to staff, parents and/or students, and in-app notifications can target the whole school, a single class arm, a role, one student's family or selected users. Events can also be aimed at a campus, section, class or arm.
Do parents get notified about events and published results?
Yes, in the app. TapEdu sends automatic in-app notifications when results are published, when a child is marked absent or late, for new assignments and grades, for payments, and when events are published, updated or cancelled. Parents can adjust their notification preferences.
Does TapEdu send SMS or WhatsApp messages?
No. School notifications in TapEdu are delivered in the app, where parents, students and staff see them on their dashboard and in their notification inbox. Email is used only for account messages such as invitations and password resets.
Can parents message their child's teachers?
Yes, when the school switches on the messaging module. Parents open a message thread about a child and subject, and the subject teacher replies from the Teacher Portal. Each new message raises an in-app notification for the other person.
