  1. Step 1: Pick a template

    Preview the five templates and activate the one that suits your school. You can change it later.

  2. Step 2: Add your brand and pages

    Upload your logo, set colours and fonts, fill in each page through simple forms and choose which of the 12 homepage sections to show.

  3. Step 3: Preview, then publish

    Save drafts and preview your changes. Publish the whole site once it passes the minimum readiness checks.

  4. Step 4: Keep it fresh

    Post news, events and gallery albums as they happen. You can unpublish at any time, and visitors see a holding page.

How much does a school website cost with TapEdu?
The website builder is part of TapEdu rather than a separate design and hosting project, and every school gets a free tapedu.ng subdomain. The modules switched on for your school depend on your plan, so see our pricing page or ask us for a quote.
Can we use our own domain name instead of a tapedu.ng address?
Not at the moment. Each school website runs on its own TapEdu subdomain, such as yourschool.tapedu.ng, which you can rename. Custom domains such as www.yourschool.com are not currently supported.
Can we post news, events and photo galleries?
Yes. Write news with a rich-text editor and images, then publish it straight away or schedule it. Mark events as public to show them on the website, and create photo and video albums with cover images.
Do we need a web designer to update the site?
No. Pages are edited through simple forms and templates, so anyone with the right permission can update content, post news and publish changes. There is no code to write, and page content is cleaned so that no scripts can be added.
Will our school website show up on Google?
Your site gets the building blocks search engines look for: page titles and meta descriptions, canonical links, Open Graph tags, a sitemap.xml and robots.txt. It stays hidden from search engines until you publish it. Rankings are decided by search engines, so no one can guarantee a position.
