Who is TapEdu for?
Nigerian nursery, primary and secondary schools and school groups. Proprietors, principals, head teachers and administrators run the school on it, while teachers, bursars, parents and students each use their own portal. It supports seven school types and private, government, mission and other ownership.
How does TapEdu protect our school’s data?
Each organisation’s data is isolated, access follows the roles and 130 permissions you set, and important changes and logins are recorded in an audit log. Payment provider credentials are stored encrypted, sensitive fields such as passwords are left out of audit records, and TapEdu support works only inside audited support sessions that record a reason.
What does “built for Nigerian schools” mean in practice?
Terms follow the Nigerian calendar — First, Second and Third Term, plus Summer and Holiday School. Sections are Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary, amounts are in naira, addresses use states and LGAs, and roles use titles such as Proprietor and Tutor Master / Class Teacher. Parents can fund their school wallet by bank transfer, the way many Nigerian schools already collect fees.
We still use paper registers and result sheets. Is it hard to switch?
No. You can start with the essentials, such as student records, registers and results, and switch on other modules later. The setup wizard walks your administrator through your structure step by step, and your existing lists can be imported from spreadsheets with a preview before anything is saved.
